Life as a NEW mom

I can't really wrap my head around the fact that I am a MOM now! It still blows my mind that 9 months came so fast and baby Gracie is here with Alex and I. Our lives have changed, yes adding a little one to our family has made it change dramatically. Who would've thunk? ;) I guess I knew that was going to happen once she graced us (graced.... gracie.... get it? haha) with her presence, but it's something we've never experienced before so it's almost hard to be truly prepared for it. The change has brought so many different emotions. Mostly really happy emotions, but there are times I feel a little stressed and unsure about things. They don't give you a baby manual when you leave the hospital. They hand you your baby and trust that you'll be the best parent you can be. That's a lot of responsibility for two people who have NEVER done this before! But a responsibility that we both love and wouldn't change for the world, even if sometimes we feel like we don't know what we're
doing. Heavenly Father has blessed us with this beautiful miracle baby and I trust Him to help me raise this precious spirit of His. It's crazy how much love you can have for someone! It's almost like I got a little glimpse of how much Heavenly Father and Jesus truly love us all! I've always known they love us, but I could really feel that love the moment she was born. There was such a sweet spirit in the room. It's a feeling that you can't really explain. A feeling that I will always treasure. The 19 hours of labor was worth it to bring this angel baby into the world! We love you Gracie Jane!
