Life as a NEW mom

I can't really wrap my head around the fact that I am a MOM now! It still blows my mind that 9 months came so fast and baby Gracie is here with Alex and I. Our lives have changed, yes adding a little one to our family has made it change dramatically. Who would've thunk? ;) I guess I knew that was going to happen once she graced us (graced.... gracie.... get it? haha) with her presence, but it's something we've never experienced before so it's almost hard to be truly prepared for it. The change has brought so many different emotions. Mostly really happy emotions, but there are times I feel a little stressed and unsure about things. They don't give you a baby manual when you leave the hospital. They hand you your baby and trust that you'll be the best parent you can be. That's a lot of responsibility for two people who have NEVER done this before! But a responsibility that we both love and wouldn't change for the world, even if sometimes we feel like we don't know what we're
doing. Heavenly Father has blessed us with this beautiful miracle baby and I trust Him to help me raise this precious spirit of His. It's crazy how much love you can have for someone! It's almost like I got a little glimpse of how much Heavenly Father and Jesus truly love us all! I've always known they love us, but I could really feel that love the moment she was born. There was such a sweet spirit in the room. It's a feeling that you can't really explain. A feeling that I will always treasure. The 19 hours of labor was worth it to bring this angel baby into the world! We love you Gracie Jane!

The Final Countdown

I am 39 weeks today! WHAT!? Where did time go? Honestly, this pregnancy has gone extremely fast!! Except maybe the last couple of weeks. I think it's because we were SO busy this summer. We have done so many fun things and we are truly blessed!

So this last month has probably been the craziest! WE MOVED! Yes, 5 weeks before the baby's due date we had to move... TALK ABOUT STRESS! I don't know how I survived this last month, but my family helped us out a lot and I don't know what I would've done without them. House sitting for the last two years was a big blessing for us. Only downfall, we accumulated a lot of STUFF and downsizing to a smaller house has been hard. Finding a place to put everything has been a trick, but we have managed to do it (phew)! There are things I'm really going to miss about moving to a different area in town, and one is our Ward. We have loved our ward and I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around changing. I just need to have a better attitude about it and know that it will be OKAY!

He'res a little update on my last trimester of pregnancy:

1. sleeping well has gone out the window! Going to the bathroom constantly during the night doesn't help
2. craving ice chips. I've gone to the convenient store countless times to just get ICE to chew on (I know this is bad for my teeth but I can't stop haha)!
3. ankles are swollen by the end of the day. :(
4. no stretch marks yet (crossing my fingers)!
5. still able to go to the gym and do some walking. It's really helped my energy level!
6. my back still gets tired by the end of the day, but not nearly as bad these last few weeks. Maybe she's re-positioned?
7. uncomfortable now :/ THERE'S NO MORE ROOM FOR HER TO GROW ANYMORE!

Overall though my pregnancy has been good-- but now at the point that we're ready for her to be here!! Yesterday was my last day of work, so she can come any day now! PLEASE!

Here's pictures of some adventures we've had since July!
