Alex's sister and her family have been here for about a month. They come from back East and we've been doing as much as we can with them. It's usually the only time of year we get to spend time with their family. It's fun to see all her kids grow up. They sure are a hoot and we have lots of fun with them!
If you don't know this about me already, I LOVE THE PLAYMILL! And summer = playmill. I've been twice with my family already. Mary Poppins and The Foreigner. Oh boy did the cast put on a great show! Never a disappointment when I'm there. My sister and I will probably be back next month for another show. I know, I'm obsessed.
We were able to go to the Ogden Temple as well this month. My cousin Paige received her mission call to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and she took out her endowments there. It was such a great experience, and I'm so proud of her. She'll be a great little missionary!
We spent our time differently than usual this 4th of July. Alex was able to have it off for the first time in YEARS! yahoo! We usually are at the reservoir that day boating and come back to Poky for fireworks, but this year we decided to switch it up. Speaking of boating, we haven't gone ONCE this year. It's quite pathetic and not like Alex to wait so long. I guess my excuse is because I can't really do much on the boat since I'm pregnant, but I don't know what Alex's excuse is. HE LOVES BOATING! Our first outing will probably be at Alturas. Anyway, his family had a reunion at Indian Springs that weekend. We were able to go in the morning and spend time with all the Peck's and watch the girls swim. We then headed to Rexburg with my parents to be with Megan, Trevor, and Madilynn. We went to dinner and then hit up the Rodeo. No better way to celebrate our Independence than going to a Rodeo. Loved it! There was a firework show afterward that lasted about 5 minutes! WOOT WOOT! Nothing like Pocatello's show, but it was more than I expected so I was pleased. I sure love the 4th of July and I'm so grateful for all my freedoms. GOD BLESS THE USA!
Last weekend we went to Bear Lake with Alex's family. We introduced them to Juanito Bandito last year and they loved his play (apparently I love plays/musicals a little too much if you haven't already figured that one out)! We went to the beach earlier in the day and went to the play later that evening. We laughed and had a good time. The girls (nieces) were just so excited to wear mustaches that night. They have been talking about Juanito Bandito all summer and couldn't wait for the play. If you're ever in Bear Lake, hit up Pickleville Playhouse. You'll laugh your "mustache" off! Seriously.
Okay, so I need to brag about my husband for a little bit. Seeing that I'm pregnant and getting bigger everyday I just can't do some things like I used to. Polishing my toenails for instance. It's just a little too hard to do that anymore. Well, last night my husband very willing said he would do it. I thought we'd just pick a color, he'd polish, and then we'd be done in about 20 minutes. Oh boy was I wrong. He had a vision in his head and he went ALL OUT! We sat there for about an hour and a half! To be honest, I was a little worried about his nail art capabilities, but once again he proved me wrong. He is a man of many talents! He really "nailed it" last night! I wonder if he secretly has been practicing behind my back??
Now for the update on my pregnancy:
-I'm 28 weeks! Truly can't believe it.
-I said I had heart burn in the last blog. But after I said that it basically went away. Now it's back. This last week I've had it twice and that hasn't been very fun.
-3rd trimester has made me even more tired.
-By the end of the day my lower back aches. That's really the worst.
-I can't sit in cars for very long anymore. BREAKS are a necessity.
-Baby is extremely active in the morning and night and I love feeling her move.
-Getting more anxious as we get closer.
-Craving chocolate milk.
-Dresses are my new favorite for this summer heat.
-Passed my glucose test. PS I didn't think the drink was all that bad. Tasted like a melted Orange Popsicle.
-Baby is doing GREAT and we couldn't be happier!
