PLAYMILL! YES, I HAVE AN OBSESSION as you all know! This year we went to Beauty and the Beast and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. And no, neither show did not disappoint. But lesbehonest, none of their shows ever disappoint! We had a hoot and hollerin' time and hopefully I'll get back there this summer to see Fiddler On the Roof.
Okay, so the guy (the candlestick) up top was the Indian in Annie Get Your Gun last year and he was mine and my moms favorite character. His facial expressions were hilarious and he made us laugh real hard. We were happy to see him back this year!
"Let freedom ring! Let the white dove sing... something something something... It's INDEPENDENCE DAY!" Thanks Martina for that blessed song. I love it and I always sing it on the fourth of July! Went to the parade, had a bbq, and watched some fireworks. Typical festivities on July 4. I love how most people dress cute in their red, white, and blue! Sporting the star pants and what not. I SURE AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!
SURPRISE DATE! Alex is the sweetest husband ever. He managed to get a Friday off a couple of weeks ago and he decided to surprise me with a date. Well, of course he had to BLINDFOLD me, because what's a surprise date without a blindfold? Not a surprise date. haha. So as we journeyed to the unknown destination I was picturing in my mind all the roads and landmarks we were passing as we were driving. I was pretty dead on each time I guessed where we were at. Before we even got there he asked if I knew where we were going. I didn't quite know yet, but I soon guessed it. Ammon Park. AKA-makeout park. One time while driving on the freeway I had pointed out Ammon Park and told him that was makeout park because it's gets super dark at night so most people go there to makeout because they can't get caught. It's a high school thing I guess... So maybe that's why he wanted to go there for our date? Nah, don't worry, he didn't take me there to makeout. He had other things in mind. Dinner. Swing in the hammock. And fly kites. CUTEST. He's a gem, and we had the best time ever! I sure do love that man with all my heart and soul!
Alex has no neck in this picture, and I think it's hilarious!
P.S. I forgot how hard it is to fly a kite. I do have to say I'm not the best kite flyer there is, but Alex showed me what's up and got that beauty flying high in the sky!
AWWWE BOATING- you complete my life. period. Went boating a couple of times last week and had a blast! The only unfortunate part was the water was horrible, so skiing wasn't in the question. We basically surfed the whole time. But hey, I love it so I'm not complaining one bit.
Paige's first time surfing! she was a PRO! Alex was in the water helping learn the ropes of it all and she caught on quickly!
Right before the faceplant... and then
BOOM! face hitting the water... not the greatest feeling, but it was well worth it to get this picture! HAHAHA! It's priceless and I don't know if I'll ever get a good one like this again. Props to Amber for taking the picture just at the right time.
That's Alex and Amber knee boarding. It was Amber's first time and she did awesome!
This was round two of our boating trips. Alex was going to try and ski on the choppy water. He's getting all psyched up.
Paige is surfing while Alex and "trying" to surf on a knee board. Bad idea.
Amber and I ridin' the waves and lovin' life!
Okay, so Alex finally finished making our shelves and hung them on our wall about two weeks ago. We put some decorations up and it finally looks and feels more like a home! I LOVE IT! All our gifts are off our living room floor and stored away for safe keepings so our pink little humble abode is coming together. I'm quite satisfied about it!
And Alex just surprised me with a chalk board! We've always wanted a chalk board in our house, and it magically came in the mail the other day. WOOHOO!
We've been house sitting this past week and Alex has been dying to do a puzzle. So he pulled out one we got for a wedding gift and brought it over to the house that we're staying at. 1000 piece puzzle seems like no biggy, at least I didn't think so, but honestly I probably put about 20 pieces together and he did the rest (980 if you can't count). I would work on it for 5 minutes and get frustrated and stop helping him. I think he asked me about 8 times to help him. After the 4th time I just quit, haha. I'm no good at puzzles. Well, unless it's simple. I would like one a bit more simple. I'd enjoy it more!
Don't worry, it's a Christmas puzzle. And it also glows in the dark. Pretty snazzzzzy! Ever since he's finished it he's been dreaming about puzzles.
Life is great. Life is happy. Life is bright with the summer sunshine. I LOVE IT and don't want summer to end! Happy July 19 everyone. OH- and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY NEPHEW HARRISON! 3 years old today! what a cutie!
Peace and Blessings
