adventures and such

Summer is FLYING by! Can you believe it's almost JULY!? I swear, after the fourth of July holiday summer flies by and is over in a blink of an eye. Here's what Alex and I have been up to as of late...

MEMORIAL DAY:
My family always gets together this weekend to decorate graves for those that have passed on. It's more like  a family reunion for our family because that's the only time we get to see cousins we haven't seen in a long time. We travel to Rockland, Downey, and Swan Lake, and we have a stellar of a good time together!

THE MAYPOLE! This was in Swan Lake. And it was AWESOME!

My aunt Linda always does "The Lottery" every memorial day. Basically, there is a pile of candy bars and other sorts of goods and everyone gets the opportunity to pick one. If the item you picked has a number on the back then you get the PRIZE! And the prize is MONEY or a gift card of some sort!! Pretty decent right?! This year I picked Jello, and got $1. I'M RICH!

My mom, sisters, and I got the opportunity to go to the temple a few weeks ago. Always a good experience in the House of the Lord. It was great to be with all my sisters too. That's the first time we've ever been able to do that, and it was wonderful! Trevor came as well and watched the girls while we were in the temple.

LAGOON! It's what fun is! Alex and I went to Lagoon with all of his family a couple of Monday's ago. IT WAS A BLAST! I always love going to Lagoon. I love roller coasters and the feeling you get in your stomach when you ride them. But I also have a fear when I first get on a ride. I think the worst and tell myself that the seat belt is going to break and I'm going to be the one that dies a horrific death. It's quite stupid that I think that, because for some reason it still doesn't stop me from getting on the ride. I take the risk anyways... haha. I guess I just can't get enough.

I love Alex in this picture. It's right before they hit the big waterfall and he's clapping his hands like a small child. It's hilarious!

JUANITO BANDITO! I seriously love this play! It's hilarious. Mystique has it playing right now and I highly recommend going before it's over. I took my parents and Alex for my Father's Day present to them.We laughed our heads off and had a really good time.

Okay, here's a video from our wedding. It's a goody, so watch it, por favor!

And last but not least, here is my bored husband...

happpppppy summer!
Peace and Blessings

MARRIED!

It's official, I'm now a married woman! There's no going back! Quite honestly, I'm happy about that. I LOVE BEING MARRIED! And the wedding-FANTASTIC! Along with the reception. Everything was more than what I could have ever dreamed of. We had so much support from everyone and Alex and I are so thankful to all who helped and came to celebrate our special day! We must be loved or something.....   :)

I've been meaning to post, but life has been a little hectic (of course). I did at least update my blog "name" and changed my background. It's time for change. And now it's no longer ME and my really good life, but it's Alex and mine. The Funk's REALLY good life! And boy has life really been good to us thus far. I couldn't ask for a better husband. He truly is my better half and we are made for each other.

We opened our gifts a week after our wedding. LOADS of gifts filled my parents living room, so you can imagine how long it took to open them all. We got many many wonderful things! Pretty pleased with all of them. Now our little apartment is stacked full of gifts. Yes, it's still packed with gifts. And it's quite annoying to me. I like things neat, and my house is a disaster! We can't fit everything into that little place. I guess that results in storage. And it needs to be done soon, so we can have guests over. I'd be embarrassed if others saw our place how it is right now... haha, married life. It'll all be under control soon enough (let's be honest, probably not).

So I have a few sneak peaks from the day of the wedding. I haven't gotten all my pictures back yet. So here are some teasers. I'll show more once we have them all!

Yes, it rained on us! Pretty crazy for about 15 minutes, but it cleared up. My hair was not up to par, unfortunately, but there's not much you can do about mother nature. You just roll with it! If you look closely you can see the rain drops in the picture above and the one right below.

There's more to come! A ton more! I'll post our "first dance" video at our reception as well. And also update on what's been going on in the Funk's household and surrounding areas. But as for now, PEACE AND BLESSINGS!
